It was hot again in Toronto so Sarah dressed in white to beat the heat.
Here she is wearing a dress and legging set that is a hand-me-down. It has shell button details, a balloon hem and is made by Obaibi.
Her outfit is completed by her white hat from H&M and her white Osh Kosh sandals that I got at Once Upon a Child

Daily Baby - I Am A Big Boy
Hunter looks every bit the big boy in his long sleeve white "I Am A Big Boy" shirt from Zara. He wears it under a blue check button up shirt also from Zara.
He also wears dark wash jeans from Gap and Tommy Hilfiger sneakers.

Sneaky Sneakers
I'm looking at baby sneakers again. I just can't help myself!
I was poking around at Walmart online when I found these gems: Jorge sneakers
They are unisex so I could put them on Hunter or Sarah.
As are these sneakers from Zara: gray canvas.
These flowered ones from Zara, however, are strictly for Sarah. Very girly!

As a follow-up to today's post on baby sneakers, I wanted to show you the sneakers I bought at H&M.
Gray high tops. Aren't they cute?
Again, they are unisex so Sarah can wear them when Hunter outgrows them. She is currently a couple of shoe sizes smaller than him.

Daily Baby - Pink Polka Dots
Sweet little Sarah is adorable in her pink polka dot dress from Walmart (George collection). The dress was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law. Thanks Uncle Bryan and Auntie Cheryl!
Since it was a little cool that day, I put a pink frilly top (a hand-me-down so I don't know where it is from) and pink leggings from Gymboree underneath.
She also has her Osh Kosh sandals on from Once Upon a Child.

Shopping Bag - H&M Spring Sale Part 2
Yesterday I wrote about some great stuff I bought for Sarah at H&M's spring sale. Today, it's Hunter's turn.
I bought this jacket big for Hunter because I plan on keeping it for the fall.
A bargain at $10!!
This cute little dog shirt came with another shirt in a plain heather gray. Only $7 for both!
Convertible pants work great for Hunter right now since the weather can change from cool to warm and back again in the same day. These green ones were only 5!

Shopping Bag - H&M Spring Sale
I was at H&M last week and they are having a massive sale.
I picked up a few things for the babies but nothing for myself.
Sarah got this purple check top for only $7! She'll wear it with her white shorts or jean capri pants.
Although it wasn't on sale, I also bought her this pink organic cotton dress. It was only $6!!
It doesn't come with matching panties but I can re-purpose some from her other outfits or put her in her pink gingham panties that her Aunt and Uncle sent from the UK.
Daily Baby - Sarah's 10 Month Portrait
I bought this dress for Sarah because it reminded me of one I had when I was young. This one, green tiers with daisy details, was purchased at Gymboree.
Sarah also wears a white frilly romper as an undershirt that I got at Sears and white Osh Kosh sandals that I got at Once Upon a Child.
The romper works well under the dress because it also has short frilly legs which is good for hiding her diaper had she not been wearing nylons. It wasn't completely necessary however since the dress came with matching panties.

Saks Sale Redux - Burberry Check
Another post about the Saks sale, this time about some really cute Burberry check items.
I'd love to get either of these for the babies
- a Burberry check kilt for Sarah
- a Burberry check short sleeve shirt for Hunter.
Adorable!
Saks Sale - Teacup Dress
Got another email notice about a sale at Saks.
This time, I was looking at the Chiffon Teacup Dress from Little Ella.
Such a pretty colour!
I may have to buy this one for Sarah.
Daily Baby - That 70s Baby
This outfit started with the retro jacket that reminded me of the ones from the 1970s.
Sarah's 70s white jacket is part of a set made by Levi's that I bought at Sears. Her "I (heart) NY" shirt is one I picked up in New York a couple of years ago for my niece.
These are paired with dark wash Gap jeans and red C&C Collection sneakers that I bought at Once Upon a Child.

Baby Suspenders
Today's Daily Baby - Broadway Audition shows Hunter in his suspender pants from H&M but you don't need to search for pants like those. Instead, you can get the look with these suspenders from Zara.
Just add to your favourite pair of pants and your baby can look like Larry King!
Daily Baby - Broadway Audition
This is an outfit that I imagine Hunter would wear to a Broadway Audition.
His pants with suspenders attached are from H&M, his white button up shirt is from Children's Place. It is worn open over a black undershirt from Gap with an embroidered bulldog and the words "Tough Guy".
He also has his T-Rex brown Robeez on his feet.

Gladiator Girl
If you haven't checked out the Zara website for kids, you should. The clothes there are really adorable and quite fashion forward.
I put together this outfit (theoretically for now) based on girl's gladiator sandals. I paired them with these shorts that reminded me of Harem pants and a orange blouse.
Zara also has a mobile app where you can look at their collections including the kids collection.

Daily Baby - Blue Girl
Today's Daily Baby is Sarah wearing the Gagou Tagou blue top that I picked up for her a couple of weeks ago at Toys R Us. The colour really matches her eyes.
She is also wearing white frilly leggings that I bought at Winners. They were part of a set but the rest is too small for her now.
Her sandals are Osh Kosh that I bought at Once Upon a Child.

Daily Baby - World Cup Fever
Friends of ours were recently stationed in Brazil for work and they sent us some Brazil shirts for the babies.
Because Brazil plays its first match at the World Cup today, today's Daily Baby is Hunter in his Brazil shirt.
He also wears green shorts with blue trim that I picked up at Sears and his Tommy Hilfiger running shoes.
World Cup Runners
In honour of the World Cup, we are talking baby runners here today.
I was browsing around looking for some shoes for Hunter and Sarah when I ran across the Puma website.
They have runners both for infant/toddler girls and infant/toddler boys in many styles and colours.
What caught my eye were the ones that looked like the soccer (football) cleats that the World Cup players are wearing right now.
I know these are not real soccer cleats but my babies don't even walk yet!
Here are some of my favourites:
Drift Cat II Logo LW Crib
Tune Cat B Smooth V Kids

Baby Panties
The five point harness (or even a three point harness) is not a friend to a little girl in a dress. The leg strap on the stroller, the car seat, and even the high chair hikes Sarah's dress up exposing her diaper underneath. Who wants to show off a boring white diaper?
Many dresses come with matching panties but some don't. You could use those weird jean printed diapers or you can pick up some panties that can also add some pizazz to your baby's wardrobe.
Sarah has a pair of pink gingham panties that are stretchy and cute but I also have my eye on these blue ones from Zara. I especially like the bows on the side.

Daily Baby - Dance Class
Sarah was ready to belly up to the barre in this little number. Her green and blue tiered skirt from Gymboree reminded me of a tutu so I paired it with a ballet wrap sweater in heather gray from Old Navy.
Under her sweater she wore a white long sleeve eyelet top from Gap.
Her cream tights, also from Gap, she wore with her black and white Mary Jane Robeez.

Daily Baby - Ralph Lauren Twins
Instead of posting a Daily Baby today and tomorrow, I'm doubling up today because Hunter and Sarah are wearing matching outfits.
It was another hot day which required another outing to the park.
Hunter wore his lavender Ralph Lauren romper and Sarah wore her turquoise Ralph Lauren dress and panty set.
Sarah's dress has a scalloped edge on the lower hem providing a little extra frill.

Daily Baby - Early Summer
Today's Daily Baby is the picture of Sarah that I also used in my other post today (Your Baby is Bald). She is so cute that it had to be a Daily Baby too.
Summer came early this year so I had to put Sarah in something cool to combat the heat.
Here she is wearing a turquoise Children's Place dress and panty set with a white frilly hat from H&M. The dress is a 3 month size but Sarah is skinny so it still fits. There is no problem with the length because she is wearing it with the matching panties.
No shoes today - she doesn't walk yet and it was just too hot!

Your Baby is Bald
There is no denying it. Sarah is bald. My mother says that she is not completely bald, she has some peach fuzz. But there is so little and it is so blonde that she is mommy's little cue ball.
Consequently, people are always mistaking her for a boy. This annoys me. She looks like a girl to me with her cute little bow mouth and delicate features.
So I try to make her look even more like a girl by using her clothes.
I have two main avenues of attack to girl her up. One is the full on pink, the other is operation ruffle.
Full on Pink
This is exactly what it sounds like: head to toe pink. My friend Kari makes fun of this look but I'm trying to use the cultural stereotype of pink is for girls to identify Sarah as female.
In this example, Sarah is wearing flowered skinny jeans and pink hoodie from Zara, a pink Oxford tee from her Uncle and Aunt in England and pink Robeez.
Operation Ruffle
The idea is to load Sarah up with so many frills and ruffles that people will register her as a girl. This works well when the frills happen to be on her hat that covers up her bald head.
But the hat is just about as far as I'm willing to go since I'm not really into the whole ruffle thing.
Here she is wearing a Children's Place dress and panty set with a frilly hat from H&M. The hat is important in this example since the dress is blue which makes people think "boy". Yo - it's a DRESS!!
I usually avoid elasticized bows in her "hair" because these annoy her and they fall off immediately (that didn't stop me here though). I once tried her with a headband but she ended up looking like a 1980s aerobic video rather than girly.

Daily Baby - Hunter Was a Rolling Stone
We went for a BBQ at my mother's house and Hunter wore his Rolling Stones outfit.
His red gingham shirt and Rolling Stones London tee are from H&M, his light wash denim jeans are from Gap, and his high top turquoise sneakers are from Mexx.
This is a look that Hunter wears a lot - a button up shirt worn open over a graphic t-shirt.

Marc Jacobs Girl's Romper
I got another sale alert from Saks. This time it was a Marc Jacobs girl's romper that caught my eye. It is heather gray with multi-coloured hearts.
It is cute but not too babyish. I would put this on Sarah on its own or with a ruffled short sleeved shirt underneath in a colour that matched one of the colours of the hearts.
Daily Baby - Sarah the Slacker
This look for Sarah didn't turn out exactly how I wanted.
I was trying for a geeky outfit like the 2009 Evolution of the Hipster - meta-nerd (where can I get a Three Wolf Moon t-shirt in baby size?) but I ended up with something that looks more like a slacker.
Sarah's slacker look includes boy's dark wash denim jeans from the Gap - what I call her "boyfriend jeans", a purple Batman t-shirt from Old Navy, her pink hoodie from Zara, and red B.B. Collection high top running shoes from Once Upon A Child.

Shopping Bag - Gagou Tagou
Gagou Tagou clothes were on sale at Toys R Us last week so I just couldn't help myself.
These shirts were 3 for $20 which is effectively 33% off since each shirt was $10 if you only bought one. I'm not sure if this is an ongoing promotion or a sale price but I thought it was a good deal.
I really liked the colours so I picked up 2 for Hunter and one for Sarah.
Hunter already wore the one with the stripes and the other one is in a larger size that I'll put away for later.
Sarah's shirt (the one in front) has some cute little ruffled sleeves.
I also bought two other shirts for Sarah. The dark blue one has a nice scoop hemline. The light blue one has a great back detail (shown below).
They both have flowery embroidery and other ruffles that caught my eye. They are girly but not too girly.
These shirts will look great with her jean capris or her white shorts - a good and easy look for summer.

Daily Baby - Team Hunter
It was hot last week so I wanted something cool for us to wear for our outing to the park.
Hunter sported his cream Daddy's #1 Draft Pick tee from Old Navy with his khaki convertible Cherokee cargo pants/shorts (worn as shorts) from Zellers. He also wore his white H&M bucket hat to keep the sun off of his head.
I would have also dressed him in his Gap brown sandals but he was having nothing to do with shoes that day.
