Sick Times

Everyone has been sick here this week so instead of a regular post, I'm putting up some old pictures of Hunter and Sarah in PJs from Zellers. These were taken in February when they were 6 months old.

Daily Baby - Hunter, 11 months

Hunter looks like a big boy in his 11 month portrait.

Here he wears a green gingham shirt by Gagou Tagou that I bought at Toys R Us and blue drawstring cotton pants from Zara.

His outfit is finished off by his gray H&M sneakers.

Daily Baby - Sarah, 11 months

Sarah looks sweet in her 11 month portrait.

She wears a cream and black dress with black embroidery at the collar from Gap. The dress comes with the matching panties.

Her outfit is completed by black tights from Children's Place and black patent Mary Janes from Kostatex on the Danforth.

Pyrate Ship

I like putting Hunter in graphic tees and this one from J Crew caught my eye.

It is black and reads "Pyrate, Capt. Kidd" in white letters.

Daily Baby - Preppy Boy

Hunter looks preppy in this little outfit!

He wears a white polo neck shirt from Gap and white, blue and red plaid Nevada shorts from Sears.

I popped the collar on the shirt for the full effect.

Pretty Flower Ballet Flats

These pretty little ballet flats from J Crew are on sale right now.

The pictured flats are lilac with a tangerine flower but they also come in petal pink with a beige flower.

They are too big for Sarah (they start at size 10) but I love them so I had to post!

Daily Baby - I Heart Jeans

Here is Sarah in the park wearing her cutoff blue jean shorts. They are from Levi's (purchased at Sears) and are part of a set that I broke up for this outfit. I particularly like the little appliqued flower on her right leg.

Sara also has her heart and flower hot pink shirt on - a sleeveless V-neck with ruffles on the shoulders. It is from Children's Place and was a gift from her Nana.

Daily Baby - Baguette Boy

I was watching an episode of No Reservations starring Anthony Bourdain where he went to Brittany in France. In the episode, he went with one of his crew members to buy a striped shirt which is the Breton style.

This shirt is just like those Breton shirts. Black and gray striped with a matching black hoodie, I bought it at Gap.

I paired it with black corduroy pants from Sears and Tommy Hilfiger sneakers.

Daily Baby - Leaf Me Alone

This absolutely adorable blouse Sarah is wearing is from Zara. It has a blue and green leaf pattern on a cream background. There is smocking across the chest and the sleeves are puffed. Beautiful!

I paired it with blue puffy shorts also from Zara. The shorts have a blue and white tie belt and button details.

She also wears her purple jelly shoes from Gap.

GiddyUp!

If there is a little rodeo star in your house, you can dress him up for the part in this embroidered western bronco shirt from Gymboree. You could pair this shirt with any pair of jeans your little boy currently has in his wardrobe.









Finishing the look is the matching hat and boots.

Daily Baby - Hunter the Hero

Here is Hunter in his Hero shirt from Zara. The green button detail on the shoulder adds a nice touch to this graphic tee.

He wears it with his green and cream plaid shorts from Sears and his blue sandals from Old Navy.

YeeHaw!

If you plan on taking your little girl to the Calgary Stampede, you could do no better than dress her in this little number from Gymboree. The lilac shirtdress is a pony print. No not THAT kind of pony print - I mean printed with pictures of ponies!











For the full cowgirl effect, pair this dress with the matching lilac hat and boots!

Daily Baby - Sarah the Peasant

This hot pink peasant blouse by Ralph Lauren was a gift for Sarah from her Auntie Lisa. Thanks Auntie Lisa!

It has crochet detail around the buttons at the neck. I pushed the sleeves up over her elbows which made them blousier.

Sarah wears it with capri jeans with hot pink stitching from Old Navy and purple jelly shoes from Gap.

Boy Rompers

Remember the Ralph Lauren romper Hunter wore as the Daily Baby a while back?

Well I just got an email alert that similar rompers are on sale at Saks online.


The Ralph Lauren romper is yellow with black, blue and white stripes.















This Burberry romper is a great shade of navy blue - such a rich colour.

Daily Baby - Turquoise Check

Today Hunter is wearing his turquoise check shirt from Mexx Kids. This is the shirt that he wore for his 10 month portrait.

It is unbuttoned and worn over a turquoise t-shirt that was massively on sale at Sears a while back.

His outfit is completed by dark wash Gap jeans and Osh Kosh socks.

Daily Baby - Polka Dot Romper

Sometimes it is nice to inject new colours into Sarah's wardrobe and that is what we did today.

For today's Daily Baby, Sarah wears her white polka dot romper from Gap. The polka dots are not the usual pink for little girls but are instead green and purple.

The romper has nice details like tie straps (that are not tied, they just look that way) and gathers around the chest. A cute look for a hot day.

Colour my Girl

I was browsing the sale rack at Saks online the other day and I found some dresses for girls in colours other than the usual candy pink.

The first is a Chloé dress in a cotton and silk blend butterfly print. The beige is almost the colour of a double cream coffee.

I'd like an adult version of this dress for myself!












The second is a dress from Tartine et Chocolat in, fittingly, chocolate and white. I love the box pleats and the scallops around the neck.

Daily Baby - Green Stripes

It was cool last week so I dressed Hunter in his new distressed beige jeans from Gap.

He also has on his gray high top sneakers from H&M and a blue, green, and brown striped hooded shirt from Sears.

If you put the hood up on him, Hunter looks a bit like Dopey from Snow White.

Romper Room Redux

To go with today's Daily Baby post of Sarah in her pink romper, I thought I'd share some cute rompers that I saw at Zara (on the site since I didn't see these in my local store).


First is a blue and white one. This one looks like it would be nice and cool for a hot summer day.

The blue embroidery reminds me of Blue Willow ceramics.















The next romper is much sportier. It is gray knit with ruffles.

However, since it is sportier I don't think I'll get this one for Sarah - she would look too much like a boy!

She needs more hair to pull this look off.

Daily Baby - Romper Room

When we went to visit Grandpa Joe and Grandpa Ron for Father's Day, Sarah wore her pink romper from Sears.

The romper is pretty cool. From the front it looks like a mini-dress but it has an attached part that covers the diaper.

Also, the back is cut away giving it a bit of a scalloped edge.

Shopping Bag - Hero Graphic Tee

Isn't this Hero shirt adorable?

I bought one for Hunter last week from Zara. He can wear it alone or under a button shirt with the buttons open.

Zara also has a shirt that says "Prince" and another that says "Idol".

He is going to wear it for the first time this week so you'll probably see it on here again soon!

Don't forget that Zara also has a mobile app.

Daily Baby - Cool Cat

Here is Hunter in his red Cat in the Hat shirt. The cat design is black flocked giving the shirt a nice texture. I bought it a while ago at Sears and he finally fits into it (although it is still a little big).

His blue and red plaid shorts are also from Sears and his blue sandals are from Old Navy.

Puma Sale

I got a notice that Puma has baby shoes on sale.

Daily Baby - Pink Chevrons

Here is Sarah enjoying the park in her pink chevron dress from Old Navy.

The dress has matching panties but she is wearing her pink gingham panties that were a gift from the UK. It's just too bad you can't see them!

She also has her white Osh Kosh sandals on.

Daily Baby - Spidey Senses Drool

Hunter is a pretty drooly boy but that doesn't matter when he looks this adorable.

Here he wears a Spiderman graphic tee from Zara with blue plaid shorts from Sears. He has brown Gap sandals on his feet.
